Ponyo Film Comics, Dinosaur King Manga More from Viz

Viz has announced that it will release comics based on Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea, the new film from Hayao Miyazaki, in four volumes. The four $9.99 volumes will street in two groups, 1-2 on August 4th, 3-4 on September 1st. Ponyo opens on August 14th (see ?Miyazaki?s Ponyo Gets a Date?).



The Dinosaur King manga ($7.99), another Viz release with a media tie-in, will launch on September 1st with an Upper Deck Dinosaur King TCG card in Volume 1 for a limited time.



Other Q3 Viz manga launches include Ooku: The Inner Chambers (August 18th, $12.99), a new fantasy title by Fumi Yoshinaga, who won the Osamu Tezuka Award for Ooku; Children of the Sea (July 21st, $14.99), which is being previewed on Viz?s new Webcomics site (see ?Viz Launches Webcomics Site?); WaqWaq (August 4, $7.99), a new science fiction series by Ryu Fujisaki; Kimi Ni Todoke: From Me to You (August 4th, $8.99), a Kodansha Manga Award winner by Karuho Shiina; Black Bird (August 4th, $8.99), a Shogakukan Manga Award winner by Kanoko Sakurakoji; and ChocoMimi (July 7th, $7.99) from VizKids.
