Movie Avengers Assembled & Logo Revealed

Even though star sightings at the San Diego Comic-Con have become so commonplace it is now commonly referred to as ?Hollywood South,? the wattage present at the Marvel Studios panel was simply breathtaking as the cast of the 2012 team-up epic The Avengers assembled on stage with director Joss Whedon who said ?I?ve had a dream all my life and it was not this good. This cast is more that I could ever dream of working with.?

The cast of The Avengers (reading from the left of the photo to the right) includes Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Clark Gregg (SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk). Ruffalo was the last major addition to the cast as his deal was finalized this weekend (see ?Mark Ruffalo Is the Hulk?).









Moments before panel began Marvel Studios revealed a new logo for the movie when it launched a placeholder site where news, updates and hype about the film will be uploaded over the next 21 months leading up to the movie?s release on May 4, 2012.
