David Goyer to Write 'Godzilla' For Legendary

Geek film uber-scribe David Goyer has been hired to write the next script for Godzilla, according to Deadline. Goyer, who wrote Christopher Nolan?s Batman trilogy and the upcoming Man of Steel, will start with the current script, written by David Callaham.
Gareth Edwards will direct (see ?Godzilla Movie Gets Director?).
The 2012 release will be released in the U.S. by Warners, in Japan by property owner Toho (see ?Godzilla Movie in 2012?).
IDW has comics (see ?Eric Powell on Godzilla?) and Toy Vault has a card game (see ??Godzilla: Stomp!? Card Game?) and a board game (see ?Godzilla: Kaiju Wars Board Game Details?).
