?Captain America? DVDs on October 25th Share| Available in 3-D

Captain America, the last of the four superhero movies to unspool this summer, will also be the last of the quartet to be released on DVD and Blu-ray. Marvel and Paramount are debuting Joe Johnston?s Captain America: The First Avenger on DVD, Blu-ray, and Blu-ray 3-D on October 25th. Fox?s X-Men: First Class bows on disc next Tuesday followed by Marvel Studios? Thor on September 13th, and Warner Bros.? Green Lantern on October 14th.

Captain America, which has earned $329 million worldwide at the box office so far, will be available in a 3-D Limited Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack (MSRP $54.99) that includes a 3-D Blu-ray disc, a regular Blu-ray, a standard DVD, and a digital copy, as well as a Standard Blu-ray Combo Pack (MSRP $42.99), and a conventional DVD release (MSRP $29.99).

According to blu-ray.com the extras on the BD editions of Captain America include an audio commentary track with director Joe Johnston, cinematographer Shelly Johnson, and editor Jeffrey Ford plus deleted scenes and the ?Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor?s Hammer.?

Featurettes include ?Captain America?s Origins,? ?Behind the Skull,? ?Outfitting a Hero,? ?The Assembly Begins,? ?Howling Commandos,? ?Heightened Technology,? and ?The Transformation.?
