Details on Viz Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Release Date: 9/29/2005 |

Viz to release a later portion of manga as a taste of what Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is about. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Viz's upcoming release of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo will not be volume 1. In fact, Viz's upcoming graphic novel release will have no volume number as it is a standalone release. However the content of the graphic novel will come from the 9th volume of the Japanese release. Viz included an excerpt from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo in a previous issue of Shonen Jump USA, and due to positive feedback have decided to release a standalone graphic novel. Evelyn Dobocq, 37, director of publis relations at Viz Media explains, "We picked a portion of the series that was a good representation of, and a good introduction to, the title." Not wanting to leave readers with a cliff-hanger, Viz chose the interlude portion of the manga from later volumes, which is not part of an ongoing story arc. While not currently comitted to releasing the entire manga, they haven't ruled out future releases either. |
