Comic SEED Publication Suspended Date: 11/2/2005 |

Penguin Shobo announced they are indefinitely suspending the publication of Comic SEED. The move comes as the company's Penguin Bookstore Ltd. is liquidated. Additionally on Thursday it was revealed the HP will not be able to be updated in the future and all contents will be removed. The following statement was issued: "Thank you truly for the readers' strong rootings over three years." Serials published in the monthly manga anthology included hanamusubi by nakashima chizuna, arufa +a by kohi, -hitaki- by haruo and yaezaki kaoru, shiritsu irodori ryou koukou chou nouryoku bu by ishida akira, yoikonomirai! by kiduki akira, gemuya san by harukaze michinin, akeometsu! by kazumi yoshiyuki, yuai etoranze by seise hiroki, taigan jouju komomodesho! by marunosuke, not simple by ono natsume, anshanka by sai maya, rili:f by kanou matsuru and w-edge by chuushin akira. Although not mentioned officially, it's been reported via some blogs that the bookstore had suddenly declared bankruptcy. According to those same sources prospects of a restart for the magazine are not high. All book titles released through the publisher are expected to fall out of print as well. |
