New Manhwa Publisher in January
Date: 12/20/2005
Net Comics to begin releasing manhwa in January.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
According to ICv2 and Publisher's Weekly, Net Comics, will release three manhwa in January, Zero/Six (0/6), Boy Princess and Let's Dai. Six more will be released by the end of March, with 3 more by the end of June. In 2007 they expect to release 10 titles per month.

Net Comics is a subsidiary of Ecomix, one of the largest Korean manhwa publishers, with a catalog of thousands of titles (40,000 volumes worth of material) from over 150 creators, many of them Korea's top creators. Ecomix publishes the Korean manhwa magazine Young Jump (not the same as Shueisha's Young Jump).

Copying a piece of Ecomix's business model, Net Comics will offer many of their titles online, for low price per chapter.

According to the Netcomics website, most of their titles are available for licensing in languages other than English. The site does not specify which titles they intend to release in North America, or in what order. One of the listed titles, Full House, has already been translated and released by Central Park Media.

Let's Dai and Boy Princess are both labelled boy love comics, for girls 13+. 30-page samples of the two manhwa, and many other Net Comics properties are available from the company's website here.

Net Comics will be distributed by Ingram.
Zero/Six is not mentioned on Net Comics's website, however ICv2 refers to is as "the story of a wimpy high school boy who finds his hidden self when the beautiful (and invincible) female automaton no. 6 is delivered to his home."
