More Anime at Cannes Date: 5/23/2006 |

Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles and Nausicaa -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As previously reported, Brave Story, Tokko and Le Chevalier D'Eon have, or will, screen at the Cannes Film Festival currently taking place in Cannes, France. In addition, a new print of Hayao Miyazaki's Nausica? of the Valley of the Wind screened as part of the Cannes Classics, while Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles was privately screened for distributors. The 450-person theater used for the Nausicaa screening was filled to capacity, and the movie received a long applause when it was finished. When Hayao Miyazaki's name appeared in the credits the applause turned into a standing ovation. |
