Ghibli, Gundam Strong in Oricon Midyear Rankings Date: 6/26/2006 |

Oricon has compiled a list of the top-selling DVDs in Japan from December 12, 2005, to May 29, 2006. Howl's Moving Castle came in fifth with 445,151 copies sold, and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam II: Lovers ranked 14th with 141,684. Other animated works that made the top 30: 15) Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (Special Edition) - 138,717 copies sold 18) Madagascar (Special Edition) - 130,709 copies sold 20) Chicken Little - 120,032 copies sold 28) Madagascar (Premium Edition) - 105,067 copies sold 29) Robots (Special Edition) - 103,624 copies sold Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was, not surprisingly, first with 917,811 copies moved in the last six months. |
