Japan Sinks To Screen In 16 Countries

Based on Sakyo Komatsu's bestselling sci-fi disaster novel, Director Shinji Higuchi's Japan Sinks will open in 16 countries outside of Japan. such as South Korea. A budget of 2 billion yen ($17.8 million U.S.), makes it the most expensive SFX film in Japanese history. Distributor Toho announced South Korea will show it on 200 screens from August 31st, making it the most widely distributed live action Japanese movie there ever (Howl's Moving Castle was shown on 237 screens).
