J-Anime Paper Launches
Date: 8/11/2006
Maybe some of you have noticed it floating it around at anime conventions across the USA this summer. J-Anime, which launched in May of this year, is a monthly, free english-language newspaper covering anime, manga, videos games, characters, cosplay and Japanese traditions. News contents are entirely developed in Japan and then final version is printed off in California. The publication is the brainchild of Mr. Kyoichi Ichimura, president of the company OEANN, Inc. Finacially, the paper is ad supported, targetting the American market and has been circulating around major anime conventions this summer. Additionally, several shop owners and other vendors attending these events have agreed to carry the magazine in their establishments. Readers can submit their own content and classified ads, J-Anime is also looking for further shops and individuals refered to as their "Street Team Volunteers" to distribute and promote. Email distribution@janime.jp for details.
