Comic Market 71 Wrapup

Besides the plethora of new anime, manga and other commercial announcements made at Winter Comic Market this year, the event's human element shown through moreso than in past years. The chief reason being the event's founder Yoshihiro Yonezawa had just passed away on October 1st. A special Dojinshi was published and sold there to remember him. It's come to light that the venue creator's death came on the very next day following the first organizational meeting for Comiket 71. The management of the 31 year old event was left in the hands of 3 people: Kahoru Yasuda, Yoshi Fudeya and Koichi Ichikawa. Speaking at Big Site Tokyo over 3 days from December 29th to 31st all agreed Yonezawa was full of life and had the energy of about 3 people.
