Classics Revival: Nekketsu!! Coro Coro Densetsu

Shogakukan stole the show at last weekend's Dai 25 Kai Jisedai World Hobby Fair (25th Next Generation World Hobby Fair) held in the University of Tokyo's Association Hall in Chibashi, Makuhari Messe on January 20-21. Coro Coro Comics had teased readers to come to their booth for a big announcement. It turned out to be the unveiling of their new magazine Nekketsu!! Coro Coro Densetsu, the first volume hits the Japanese street on May 25th. The new anthology will target adults in their 20's-30's and collect and compile classic past serialized manga from the 1970's through the mid 1990's. Titles to be sampled will include Doraemon, Dodge Danpei, Obake no Q-taro and Bikkuriman. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Monthly Coro Coro Comics which began in 1977.
