Nodame Catabile Drama Finale Logs 21.7% Rating

While we were away for the holidays, the December 25th final episode of the live action TV drama version of Nodame Catabile netted a high audience rating of 21.7%. This figure was derived from averaging tuned in Kanto households. Per minute the audience rating exceeded the 20% level at 21:04, just 4 minutes into the broadcast. Seconds prior to the final credits rolling at 22:03 the figure peaked at 24.1%. Additionally, just after the signoff acceses poured into the Fuji Television Network homepage and internal official drama website. The first episode of the anime version broadcast between 25:00-25:30 on Thursday, January 11th took the all time highest audience rating for a late night TV anime, netting a 5.4% share. The final episode of 1983's Tsumiki Kuzushi Shinso is widely regarded to have achieved the highest Japanese TV drama viewership with a 45.3% share.
