Record 920,000 Visitors To Mizuki Road In 2006

Tottori prefecture and Sakaiminato city revealed the 120 bronze Gegege No Kitaro statues and displays on what is called Mizuki Road (named after Gegege No Kitaro mangka Shigeru Mizuki) drew an alltime high record of 920,000 visitors in 2006. Sakaiminato is home to the Kitaro creator who is 84 this year. The popular tourist draw is a short 800 meter distance from the JR Sakaiminato Station. The display was first opened in 1993. 2005 saw 850,000 visitors.
