Shoko Nakagawa To Release Anime Cover Songs Mini-Album

The anime powers that be in Tokyo have apparantly put idol Shoko Nakagawa on the fast track to becoming one of 2007's most noted anime singers. Besides themeing GAINAX's coming Gurren-Lagann, popular idol Nakagawa will do a moe cover of the Evangelion TV OP "Cruel Angel's Thesis" on her new "shikotankaba (anime hen)" mini album which goes on sale in Japan on May 2nd. 5 other anime theme covers will appear on the cd. The original Yoko Takahashi single, first sold in 1995 has sold over 1 million copies. Nakagawa has cosplayed at public events as Rei Ayanami many times.
