Christina Ricci to Play Heroine Trixie in Speed Racer Movie

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures announced that Christina Ricci has signed onto the Speed Racer movie to play Trixie, the girlfriend of the title character. Ricci, joins Emile Hirsch (Speed), John Goodman (Pops), Susan Sarandon (Mom) in this live adaptation of a television series that itself was an adaptation of the Mach GoGoGo anime series. Warner Bros. reaffirmed the May 9, 2008 release date.
