Manga Author Taiz? Yokoyama Passes Away

On June 10, four-panel manga author Taiz? Yokoyama died of pneumonia at his home in Kanagawa Prefecture. He was 90. Taiz? first began drawing manga in the postwar era while helping his brother Ry?ichi, who created the popular manga Fuku-chan. Taiz? is best known for his political four-panel manga Shakai Gihy? (Sarcastic Social Criticism), which was serialized in the Asahi Shinbun newspaper for 38 years. Source: Yomiuri Online
