Dragon Quest VIII Action Figures Announced

Square Enix's fantasy adventure to receive Kotobukiya collectibles!

Kotobukiya revealed at the International Toy Fair prototypes for their latest toy license: action figures based on Square-Enix's videogame Dragon Quest VIII. A four figure assortment including Kukuke, Hero, Jessica and Yangus was on display. (Sorry, no photography allowed.)

Better known as Dragon Warrior here in the U.S., the latest addition to the fantasy RPG series has already achieved great success in Japan. IGN stated on March 3rd that Square Enix "hopes to get the game out in non-Japanese markets as quickly as possible."

A release date for the toys is still being decided upon, though will most likely coincide with the games U.S. launch.
