Gundam Exhibit in Osaka
Date: 3/8/2005
First Ever Museum Exhibit to Fuse Modern Art and Gundam

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bandai and Suntori are going to hold a modern art exhibit focused on Gundam at the Suntori Museum in Osaka this summer from July 15th to August 31st. Featuring Mobile Suit Gundam works by artists who were strongly influenced by the first Gundam, "Gundam - for the future that has to come" will merge modern art and the world of Gundam for the first time.

The curator, himself and older member of the "Gundam Generation," will chose 10 artists, who will work on one of three given topics: war, evolution or existence. The works will be Gundam related or interpret a message out of the Gundam story. Among other artists Aida Makoto, Odani Motohiko and Hachiya Kazuhiko are going to participate.

Following the 6 week exhibit at the Suntori Museum, there are also plans to show it throughout Japan, but there are no details yet.

The Suntori Museum is famous for its achievements with the "THE Doraemon" and "Dick Bruna" exhibits.
