Manga Box Sets From Viz 'Death Note,' 'Bleach,' & 'Naruto'

For the 2008 holiday season Viz Media has created box set editions of three of its most popular manga properties, Naruto, Death Note, and Bleach. Naruto has been the dominant #1 title in the American market since the Naruto anime series first aired on the Cartoon Network, while Death Note and Bleach, which also have anime adaptations running on the Cartoon Network, are fixtures in the top ten on ICv2?s list of ?The Top 25 Manga Properties.? The manga box sets include complete story arcs or series along with bonus collectible items that should appeal to hardcore fans.



The Death Note Complete Box Set ($99.99) includes all 12 volumes of the manga plus the supplementary volume, Death Note 13: How to Read as well as a special ?How to Use It? booklet. All 13 volumes come packaged in striking collectible box with handle.



The Naruto Box Set ($174.99), which comes is colorful box featuring the image of the pint-size ninja, contains the first 27 volumes of Masashi Kishimoto?s enormously popular Naruto manga. Known as Part I, the first 27 volumes were adapted in the first 135 episodes of the Naruto anime, the very episodes that made the property so successful here in North America after they aired on the Cartoon Network. Bonus features in the Naruto Box Set include a double-sided poster and a Shinobi mini-guide as well as the colorful box itself, which comes with a useful handle. The cost of buying the 27 volumes individually would by nearly $215.

The Bleach Box Set ($149.99) contains the first 21 volumes of Tite Kubo?s supernatural fighting manga as well as a double-sided poster, a special Bleach booklet, and the colorful box itself, which comes with a convenient handle.
