Spidey Reboot Shoot Set for December 'Men in Black III' Lensing in September

Sony has two major comic book-based tentpoles set for the summer of 2012 and both are going to be getting underway this year. The as-yet-unnamed Spider-Man reboot starring Andrew Garfield as the teenage webcrawler (see ?Spider-Man Cast?), is now definitely scheduled to start principal photography in Los Angeles in preparation for its July 3rd, 2012 debut.

According to Superhero Hype, which broke the news of the start of the new Spider-Man production, Sony has also set a September date for the start of filming of Men in Black III, which will reunite Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones (see ?Men in Black III?) in a cast that also includes Josh Brolin and Jermaine Clement. Barry Sonnenfeld, who directed the first two Men in Black films, is set to helm MIB III, which is filming in New York City and is slated to debut over the Memorial Day weekend in 2012.
