PS3 Pricing Revealed?

According to this article at Games Radar, a UK gaming site, they've learned that the upcoming PlayStation 3 release will retail for $399 in the US, which according to them means Sony will lose around $100 a unit which I believe is comparable to the PS2 launch as well.

Why mention this here? This means that the "low end" cost of a Blu-Ray player will be in that range in 2006 and is the first actual cost associated with a Blu-Ray capable player. With the more limited market for HD capable players in the US, it's expected that the "flood" of PS3 units will help push new hardware sales across the board (TVs, receivers, cabling, etc).
