Venezuelan Japanese Boom

Nikkey Shimbun reports on Japanese Language education interests spriging up across the South American nation of Venezuela. The number of students enrolling in such classes also grows. This follows up on a current Venezuelan craze over all things Japanese such as sushi, oregami, movies, bonsai tending, Karate, Go. This latest affinity is compared with the situation in Brazil where anime and manga, magazines and music have really taken off. It's said, as a single persuit, teaching Japanese in the country is usually not enough to support one's life financially.
