Japan Postal Service Issues Anime Stamps
Date: 5/4/2005
Beginning with fiscal year 2005 the Japanese Postal Service will sale it's new Animation Hero Heroine stamp series. Each set will feature a particular anime series illustration. 3 sets have already been confirmed with the first carrying a Pokemon theme. It will see release June 28th release with 2 face values of 80 and 50 Yen. A 1000 Yen stamp book will be sold that combines illustrated postcards on July 22. the booklet will be limited to 500,000 copies. Galaxy Express 999 and Mobile Suit Gundam stamps are also planned.
