'Hobbit' Release Set for December 2012 'Batman 3' and 'Supes' by 2013

The first Hobbit movie will be released in December 2012, according to the corrected announcement of a 20-picture deal between IMAX and Warner Bros. Shooting is expected to start in June (see ?Hobbit Production to Start in June?).

Batman 3 and Superman will be released to IMAX theaters by Warner Bros. before the end of 2013, according to the announcement. Christopher Nolan is working on both films for Warners, but neither has an approved script (see ??Dark Knight? Director on ?Superman? and ?Batman 3??).
