'Hobbit' Production Underway In New Zealand

Peter Jackson has announced on his Facebook page that production on the two-film adaptation of The Hobbit is now underway in New Zealand. After numerous delays, the start to production was just as promised last month following director Peter Jackson?s hospitalization for ulcer surgery (see ?Hobbit Filming Set for March?).

The films are planned for release in December of 2012 and 2013.
