JoyRide OP Stresses Local Events For Full Metal Alchemist TCG
Date: 7/29/2005
JoyRide has announced details of its organized play program for its Full Metal Alchemist TCG with plans to stress local tournaments that every player can attend. Weekly tournaments held in retail stores will form the base of FMA TCG organized play. Tournament kits will be free to retailers, and each will contain 18 gameplay-exclusive foil cards -- 16 participation cards to be given to players in the event, and two winner cards for first and second place. Additional participation cards will be available to stores holding larger events. A different gameplay-exclusive foil card will be made available to players who participate in ten tournaments.

Alchemist Challenge tournaments will be larger events in which a JoyRide staffer or FMA TCG Official Alchemist will participate as a "marked" player. Any player who defeats the marked player will receive a prize, usually a share of a booster box. The winner of Alchemist Challenge tournaments will also receive a Full Metal Alchemist TCG leather jacket.

Full Metal Alchemist organized play starts with launch parties the weekend of August 12-14th. Retailers have until August 1st to request their free tournament kit (see "Full Metal Alchemist OP Kicks Off").
