Theater Offers Otaku Discount for Trainman Date: 8/30/2005 |

400 Yen Off for Otaku -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A theater in Fujisawa-shi, Kanagawa prefecture is offering otaku a 400-yen (US$3.60) discount on tickets to see Trainman. In order to qualify for the discount movie-goers need only identify themselves as otaku. The theater's manager explained, "[T]he movie is about a shy otaku who builds up his courage, we wanted real otakus to make a personal statement though we were half-joking at first.? |
