Japan And China Strengthen Ties On Animation

Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has mentioned it's strengthening public relations among citizens of China through animation. Readers may recall relations towards the Japanese deteriorated in China in the last year follwoing massive protests and demonstrations. Now it's being reported several popular anime TV series will stream in on domestic airwaves next year. An allocated budget that goes toward broadcasting animation in China will be boosted from 1.16 billion yen to 3.11 billion yen over 2006. Shows like One Piece have become hits in China. Negotiation with a local TV stations will be done in the future.
