Japanese Prime Minister Surprise Visit At Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Art Festival Awards Ceremony

On the 23rd the The 10th Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Art Festival Awards Ceremony was held. The event honors new excellent works in anime, manga and other media. Mamoru Hosoda's Toki Wo Kakeru Shoujo took the grand prize in the animation division. Kawaguchi Kaiji's Taiyou no Mokushiroku (Spirit Of The Sun) won the Grand Prize in the manga division. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe made a special surprise appearance at a post ceremony party. Reporters were shut out during the visit, creating a scene of temporary confusion.
