TV Tokyo Anime Performance

TV Tokyo has announced performance statistics for it's animated programs over the period of March-December 2004. Sales were up 11% compared with the previous year. Operating profit increased 51% and gross profit was up 48%. Yugi-Oh! Duel Monsters sold very well overseas according to the network. Titles such as Hikaru no Go, Shaman King and Beyblade performed good in Europe and America in both broadcast and good arenas. Pokemon continues it's march with sales of media related sales equalling about 5 billion 736 million Yen, thus showing about a 14.6% increase. Overseas anbimation sales related to TV Tokyo are estimated to be about 10 billion Yen.
