Lost's Matthew Fox Vying to Play Speed Racer's Racer X

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Lost's main lead Matthew Fox is negotiating to play Racer X, who is secretly Speed Racer's long-lost brother in the live-action film. The paper also reports that Kick Gurry (Daltry Calhoun) is discussing the role of Sparky, the mechanic of the Mach 5 racing car. The movie is an adaptation of the Speed Racer television series, which itself was an adaptation of the Mach GoGoGo anime. Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers) once pursued the role when he was still attached to the project. Errata: Headline updated. Thanks, Iritscen.
