Live-Action/Anime Hybrid Hood of Horror to Open May 4

Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror, the latest merging of urban American culture and Japanese animation, will open theatrically on May 4. Hood of Horror is an anthology composed of three vignettes, in the tradition of Tales From the Crypt, that incorporates several anime sequences produced by Madhouse, the studio behind Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and the Animatrix shorts. In the summer and fall of last year, it was screened at film festivals throughout the US, and was originally supposed to go into limited theatrical release on November 17, 2006. Source: HHN Live
