Tekkonkinkreet Director Michael Arias at Anime Expo

Anime Expo 2007 announced that Tekkonkinkreet director Michael Arias will be a Guest of Honor at the June 29-July 2 event at the Long Beach Convention Center in California. Tekkonkinkreet, the first feature film directed by a foreigner working for a Japanese animation studio, will also screen at the event in 35-mm format. As a veteran filmmaker in both Hollywood and Tokyo, Arias produced The Animatrix video anthology with Studio 4?C (Memories, Mind Game), and his patented Toon Shaders software was used in Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.
