Dear Boys Basketball Manga to be Made into Musical

The Japanese website for Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine has announced that Hiroki Yagami's Dear Boys basketball manga is being adapted into a musical that run in Tokyo from December 20 to 29. The story about a high school transfer student's attempt to revitalize his underdog team has already been adapted into a television anime series (retitled Hoop Days by Bandai Entertainment). The Dear Boys musical follows the success of other sports-manga musicals such as The Prince of Tennis as well as manga-based musicals featuring bish?nen such as Sh?nen Onmy?ji. Thanks, dormcat.
