"Initial D" Stars Driving Into Malaysia

Malaysian fans rejoice! For those of you who have been wetting your pants in anticipation of the release of the movie "Initial D", here is a bit of news that'll have you hopping mad. The cast and crew of the movie "Initial D" will be coming down to Malaysia for The Grand Premiere & Malaysian Star Tour. The tour will involve the directors of the movie, Andrew Lau and Alan Mak, as well as the cast of this much-anticipated movie.

According to a representative of AOE Worldwide Sdn Bhd, the exact date is yet to be confirmed but the tour is tentatively scheduled in June where there will be a press conference for the media, followed by a meet-the-fans session and a party afterwards.

"Initial D", which cost a whopping US$ 12 million (RM 45.6 million) in production is based on Japan's hottest manga (comic) of the same title. The movie stars Taiwan's singing sensation Jay Chou Jie Lun as Takumi, the central character of the movie. The rest of the cast includes Edison Chen, Anne Suzuki, Anthony Wong, Shawn Yu, Kenny Bee and Chapman To.
