According to Newsrama Jake Tarbox has resigned from his position as the Group Editor at DC's CMX imprint. Tarbox will continue working with CMX on a freelance basis.

Tarbox was widely blamed by the fan community for the censoring of Tenjho Tenge, although inside sources suggest that Tarbox was not responsible for the decision to censor the manga (DC declined ANN requests for comments regarding the Tenjho Tenge censoring).

Newsrama adds, "At the recent WizardWorld LA, staffers at the DC booth had to keep an eye on the stack of the Tenjho Tenge sample book CMX had available for free, as occasionally, small notes that said ?This manga is edited!? and went on to denounce DC and CMX for changing the material would appear on the top of the stack."

Tarbox joined DC to launch CMX last year. Previously he was the vice-editor-in-chief of Raijin Comics and the international affairs manager at Japanese publisher Coamix (the parent company of Raijin's publisher, Gutsoon!).
