First Glimpse of 'X-Men: First Class' Cast Could Be the First in a Prequel Trilogy

Twentieth Century Fox has provided a first look at the cast of Matthew Vaughn?s X-Men: First Class, which is scheduled for release on June 3rd, 2011. X-Men: First Class is the fifth modern X-Men film (counting X-Men Origins: Wolverine). It is set during the 1960s and serves as a prequel to the original X-Men film trilogy, and the studio hopes that it will become the first film in a prequel trilogy. It focuses on the relationship between Professor X and Magneto and the origins of their respective groups, The X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants.

The cast photo features, starting at the left: Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggart, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as The Beast, Lucas Till as Havoc, Zoe Kravitz as Angel, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier.
