FYE Parent Company Bids for Musicland
Date: 2/22/2006
Trans World Entertainment Corporation, parent company of FYE, has made a bid to acquire Musicland for $104 million in cash and $17.1 million in debt assumption. According to Home Media Retailing, Transworld will convert 345 Suncoast and Sam Goody stores to its own brands and close the remainder.
