1/350 Scale Plastic Model Space Battleship Yamato

Bandai is continuing its first line of Space Battleship Yamato models to hit the market in Japan in over 23 years with the release of its enormous 47,350 Yen 1/350 Scale Plastic Model Space Battleship Yamato on January 27th. Besides being incredibly detailed and absolutely huge, it features metal components, interior bridge detail, visual and sound effects, and moving gun turrets operable via remote control. To get a feel for the size, ASCII has posted images of the model in a typical Akihabara hobby shop. Based on the fan expectation and low production numbers, shop staff admit that after this weekend's launch supply may dwindle considerably.
