Imagi Hosts 2009 Astro Boy Film Director's Interview

Imagi, the production company behind this year's TMNT movie and Highlander anime video, hosts an interview with Colin Brady, the former Pixar and Industrial Light & Magic animator who will direct Imagi's 2009 Astro Boy computer-animated film adaptation. Brady acknowledges the "sophisticated and tragic themes" in Osamu Tezuka's original manga on the pioneering robot boy. He also discusses production challenges?including 3D-modeling Astro Boy's distinctive "hair," which often did not change shape even between different camera angles in the 2D manga and anime.
