Navarre's animeOnline Shuts Down, Promises Re-Launch
Date: 7/20/2007
Navarre Corporation, the parent company of Funimation, ended the beta test of the animeOnline community website with a complete shutdown today. After a final posting by editor-in-chief Rob Bricken, all content was replaced with a notice that the site will re-launch in the future. Before the shutdown, editors Gia Manry and Dale North indicated they were looking for employment elsewhere and were contributing on other websites and blogs. The site launched on February 22.
