Battletech and Shadowrun Carry On Despite WizKids Closure

Catalyst Games has announced that its license to produce games based on the BattleTech and Shadowrun properties are unaffected by the WizKids closure (see ?Topps Shuts Down WizKids?). Catalyst signed a two year deal with WizKids for the properties earlier this year (see ?Catalyst Signs Two Year Deal?).


Catalyst co-founder Loren Coleman reassured interested parties of the company?s continuing plans for the properties. ?We?re still completely dedicated to the Classic BattleTech and Shadowrun game lines,? he said. ?We?ve got a great line of products coming out heading into 2009 and so see no reason why the 25th [BattleTech] and 20th [Shadowrun] anniversary years for these brands won?t be fantastic for our great fan base.?
